The Role
At Alchemy, world-class engineering forms the foundation of our product offerings. As an engineering manager, your role entails leading and nurturing our highly skilled team of front-end and full-stack engineers, both from a technical and cultural perspective, as we continue to expand.
Your responsibilities include:
- Facilitating the exceptional execution of our product and technical strategies.
- Enhancing our execution, infrastructure, and processes as our team scales.
- Contributing to Alchemy’s long-term technical and product strategy by overseeing and prioritizing an engineering roadmap in collaboration with tech leads.
- Expanding our team by proactively recruiting and assembling a world-class team with a strong emphasis on senior engineers.
- Shaping the engineering culture at Alchemy through leadership, mentorship, and initiatives aimed at fostering learning and growth.
Qualifications we’re looking for:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in UI engineering management, showcasing your ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performance teams.
- Proficiency in modern UI technologies and frameworks, with a strong preference for React, coupled with a solid foundation in front-end and full-stack development.
- Prior experience in growing and managing engineering teams at a high-growth startup.
- Previous experience as an individual contributor (IC) software engineer before transitioning into a management role.
- Exposure to best practices from a leading tech company with a strong engineering management culture.
- Experience in the crypto and early-stage startup domains is advantageous.
- Experience as a manager of managers is an additional benefit.
- Founding a company or undertaking side projects is an extra advantage.
