We are hiring a Communications Lead to elevate our narratives to the next level. You will lead the communications function and partner with teams such as engineering, BD, and DevRel to draft and execute communications and marketing strategies. This role is ideal for a dynamic self-starter who thrives in a startup environment, is comfortable taking on responsibilities, and can work effectively within a remote setup.

Scroll is building an open-source, bytecode-level compatible zkEVM layer 2 solution for Ethereum. Our mission is to scale Ethereum while maintaining our values of credible neutrality, openness, and execution.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the needs of other teams, such as BD, DevRel, and Engineering, and work closely with founders on communication initiatives and plans.
• Craft and build communication narratives, prioritize strategies to create awareness for Scroll, and develop plans that relate Scroll to the community.
• Write or collaborate with the team to create engaging and creative messages for social media channels such as Twitter.
• Lead and coach the team to ensure high-quality communications.
• Lead and manage multiple communications projects, such as events and campaigns, setting objectives and timelines.
• Work with press and agencies on certain initiatives, with full autonomy to be creative.
• Foster a strong communications culture within Scroll and act as the cultural ambassador for internal employees.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications or marketing, or extensive experience in this field.
• Proven track record of building and executing marketing and communication plans.
• Solid knowledge of different marketing methodologies, such as SEO and social media.
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to guide the team in improving their messaging.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and effectively communicating with stakeholders to understand their challenges and needs.
• Strong execution skills, including leading and guiding the team to successfully deliver results.
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; proficiency in a second language such as Chinese, Korean, or Spanish is a plus.
