Position: Software EngineerAs a Software Engineer at Wormhole Labs, you will make significant open-source contributions to the Wormhole cross-chain messaging protocol and other major protocols.
What You Will Do:
- Contribute to the open-source development of the Wormhole cross-chain messaging protocol.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into enhancements for these components and libraries.
- Follow best practices for secure development and establish future best practices alongside Wormhole security researchers.
- Maintain and improve testing frameworks, ensuring thorough testing of your code with multiple kinds of tests.
- Stay updated with the latest in web3 development best practices, tooling, and industry trends.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have 5+ years of experience in production software used by millions.
- Exhibit high agency and influence outcomes they aim to achieve.
- Demonstrate customer obsession and take pride in creating great experiences.
- Be highly collaborative within Wormhole Labs, with other Wormhole contributors, and with customers.
- Care deeply about the business outcomes of their work and challenge priorities when the business impact is unclear.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, although equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
