About the Team:
Our data team is pivotal in driving data-driven insights to support TFH’s strategic decisions. Given our unique growth model of distributing Worldcoin shares globally, we need a high-performing Data team capable of managing and analyzing vast amounts of data generated by various sources, including the Orb, Worldcoin app, and blockchain activity. The team’s responsibilities span data and analytics engineering, graph analysis, business intelligence, and statistical analysis.
About the Opportunity:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the development of our data architecture and pipelines to support data-driven initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, accessibility, and performance across different storage systems. This role involves contributing to project planning, estimation, and resource allocation, monitoring pipeline performance, and troubleshooting issues to maintain reliability and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data and analytics engineers to develop a new data architecture, including data models and storage solutions.
- Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation from various sources.
- Assist in project planning and resource allocation, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, resolving issues to ensure reliability.
- Work with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions.
About You:
- Degree in a quantitative field like computer science, engineering, or physics.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in database design, data warehousing concepts, and Snowflake.
- Proficiency in SQL and significant programming experience in languages like Python or Java.
- Experience with data modeling techniques, DBT, and AWS.
- Familiarity with Spark, data integration/ETL tools, and workflow management tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of engineering systems in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Transparency Statement (CA and NY based roles):
The estimated salary for this role at TFH ranges from $193,000 – $215,000, plus a competitive long-term incentive package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
