About the Position
This role involves working with our US client, contributing to their mission of fostering a more transparent and accountable world through blockchain technology. The client’s global team utilizes agile methodologies and relies on tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, and GitHub for seamless communication.
You have the flexibility to work from anywhere, but please note that team meetings generally occur between 6:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-8/-7). If your location falls outside these hours, we expect you to adapt to the meeting schedule.
Note: This is a remote, contract-to-hire position. You would initially work as a contractor for six months, with the potential to transition to a direct employee based on your interest and performance.
About the Role
As a Smart Contract Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of developing web3 solutions on one of the most developer-friendly blockchains in the Cosmos ecosystem. Your work may involve in-house projects that push boundaries or collaborative efforts with ecosystem teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Smart Contract Development using Rust and CosmWasm
- Transforming design prototypes into functional web applications with a focus on user experience
Requirements / Must-have:
- Understanding of web3, decentralized applications (dApps), and blockchain principles (Solidity or other Smart Contract Experience)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency in VueJS, Typescript, and Tailwind CSS for frontend development
- Solid experience with NodeJS for backend development
- Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade web2/web3 applications
- Excellent knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, ZSH)
- Proficient with git and git workflows
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with the Cosmos Network ecosystem
- Interest or experience in Rust and CosmWasm for smart contract development
- Knowledge of ProtoBuf and WebAssembly
- Flexibility to undertake additional assigned tasks
- Experience with dApp development and open source projects
