Responsibilities:
- Software QA: Execute QA tasks according to software specifications to ensure the highest software quality. Carry out full software development lifecycles in line with the department’s strategy.
- Release Testing: Employ various testing strategies, including regression, functional, and user acceptance tests, across all software products. Participate in sprint deliveries and formulate test plans during release cycles. Easily adapt to different projects and platforms with minimal complications.
- Defect Resolution: Replicate defects reported by end users and update cases to facilitate developers. Effectively communicate the status of issues between users and engineers. Assume responsibility for resolving defects within assigned teams.
- QA Maintenance: Keep test scripts and test automation frameworks up to date.
- Documentation: Identify and document defects and issues in software applications, as reported by both external and internal users. Engage in triaging based on a provided defect resolution schema and escalate issues to meet team objectives. Convey the delivery status of individual tickets to technical leads.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver products and features in a timely and efficient manner. Independently complete a scope of work with minimal guidance.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in software development and contribute to knowledge sharing. Learn advanced testing techniques or automation tools that enhance team productivity. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of a subject matter and its effective application.
- Coaching: Mentor interns and junior software engineers or contribute to communities, user groups, and open-source projects.
- Ad Hoc Support: Be prepared to assist with any unexpected tasks required by the company.
Our Expectations from You:
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrate 1-3 years of professional experience in software testing for web and mobile applications within Agile teams. Display flexibility in transitioning between different projects.
- Education: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related fields, or relevant professional-level certifications.
- Product Knowledge: Be a user of CoinGecko products and show a basic understanding of finance, blockchain, or cryptocurrencies.
- Software Testing Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of software quality assurance methodologies. Familiarity with advanced software testing techniques, such as BVA and equivalence partitioning.
- Organization and Attention to Detail: Review technical documents to develop comprehensive test plans at the early stages of development. Exhibit strong written skills for documenting work.
- People Skills: Communicate effectively and demonstrate experience working with others in a team setting to achieve common objectives.
- Leadership: Be self-motivated and work independently with minimal supervision. Contribute to existing projects and workflows to enhance team productivity.
- Scope of Work: Primarily focus on well-defined, individual features, or problems of moderate scope, working independently within established guidelines. Provide reliable estimates regarding the time and complexity of your work.
- Problem-Solving: Show a genuine passion for solving problems faced by stakeholders, accompanied by strong user empathy.
Nice to Have:
- Proficiency in writing test automation code in Java or Python.
- A keen interest in decentralized technologies and their applications, including cryptocurrencies.
