About The Role
We’re in search of a DeFi Ecosystem Lead to spearhead the development of our DeFi ecosystem strategy, liquidity strategy, and collaborate closely with partners to foster the expansion of the DeFi ecosystem within the Aptos network. Your role will encompass an array of responsibilities, including scoping potential DeFi partners, cultivating strong executive-level relationships, devising and executing our DeFi strategy, formulating internal business proposals, orchestrating intricate partnership negotiations, and collaborating cross-functionally with essential internal stakeholders to advance our mission. Furthermore, you’ll be tasked with assessing current DeFi trends, identifying promising protocols for ecosystem enhancement, and then taking the lead in onboarding these protocols by establishing vital connections and nurturing these relationships from beginning to end.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Take the helm as the business leader in shaping a novel, open, and decentralized financial landscape.
- Formulate a comprehensive go-to-market strategy in collaboration with the executive team, focusing on setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives (OKRs).
- Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnerships of significant value with start-ups and projects that are contemplating Aptos integration, with a particular emphasis on DeFi.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within the organization, including engineering, product development, legal, and marketing, to operationalize pertinent projects and partnerships.
- Offer a strategic viewpoint to the product and engineering units, delivering pivotal business insights and introducing initiatives that will have a significant impact on the ecosystem.
- Work closely with the Aptos engineering team to ensure that any technical concerns originating from the ecosystem are promptly addressed.
- Pioneering and leading new initiatives within the ecosystem team to broaden the influence of Aptos.
What We Require:
- A background encompassing 3-5 years of professional experience in partnership management, business development, or equivalent roles, preferably within a rapidly growing technology enterprise, with a minimum of two years of substantial experience in the DeFi sector.
- An established track record and extensive expertise in the cryptocurrency and DeFi domains.
- Proficiency in handling commercial contracts, which includes the development and negotiation of agreements that extend beyond conventional sales contracts.
- A demonstrated capability to collaborate with technical teams, legal personnel, and marketing experts.
- Proven experience in identifying, cultivating, and finalizing partner opportunities on a global scale.
- A well-established and pertinent network of contacts that encompasses industry luminaries and senior executives.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as this role necessitates frequent interaction with both internal team members and business associates.
- A strong DegenScore, reflecting your comprehensive understanding of the decentralized financial landscape.
