About the Role:
Our newly assembled team is embarking on a greenfield, revolutionary project that embraces the latest technological trends and delivers dependable, actionable crypto market intelligence. While we already have a functioning prototype, further development is needed to unleash the final, powerful version.
We’re in search of a motivated and proactive Golang Backend Engineer to join our fresh team. In this role, you’ll have the chance to contribute to the development of metrics APIs, ensuring optimal query performance, and constructing microservices and new features. All within the context of a distributed system handling a substantial volume of data from blockchain nodes and requiring high scalability.
You can work remotely from anywhere in the CET time zone, as our operations are fully online. This is a full-time position.
Your Responsibilities:
- In this pivotal role, your daily work will have a direct and significant impact on the project’s development and outcomes.
- You will design and create microservices using Go. Collaborate on the development of our data ingestion layer.
- Contribute to the creation of metrics.
- Enhance and extend our API to address the evolving demands of our system.
- Conduct QA, data QA, and deployments to ensure that our products adhere to the highest standards of quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our entire system and take full ownership of ensuring the quality, robustness, and performance of our products.
Your Qualifications:
- You possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering and demonstrate proficiency in Golang.
- You have strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational databases.
- You have 2-3 years of experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud providers (preferably GCP).
- Additionally, you have experience in building distributed systems and data pipelines.
- You have a keen interest in the cryptocurrencies and blockchain industry.
- You are a self-driven learner, eager to adopt new technologies and tackle complex problems.
- You are proficient in English.
