Botto represents a groundbreaking form of art: a decentralized autonomous artist conceived by a team of artists and technologists. Positioned at the crossroads of machine creativity and decentralized social coordination, Botto utilizes cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to craft captivating digital artworks guided by a market-driven crowd.
Each week, Botto generates tens of thousands of prompts and images independently, without human intervention. The BottoDAO community of stewards votes on and discusses these outputs, and the most popular artwork is minted as an NFT and put up for auction. The proceeds are split evenly: 50% to the participants for their training labor and 50% to the community treasury for Botto’s further development and maintenance. This cyclical process refines Botto’s taste model based on community feedback, fostering its artistic depth and narrative.

Job Overview:
The Marketing Strategist plays a pivotal role as the link between our marketing/communications and product departments and our vibrant community. This position is ideal for a dynamic individual who can structure marketing efforts to craft compelling narratives, ensuring that the DAO’s message is consistently communicated across various channels. The Marketing Strategist will organize and streamline marketing efforts across our media channels, shaping our communications with Botto’s audience and the BottoDAO community.
Botto has a substantial community component, and we aim to engage and animate the community as frequently as possible. This role requires awareness of community growth opportunities and ways for DAO members to contribute to the Botto ecosystem and governance process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with product and artist management leaders to develop a comprehensive 360-channel strategy, campaign plans, and release calendar.
- Collaborate with the content team to align messaging, branding, and content creation across all platforms.
- Serve as the liaison between visionaries, content creators, and operations to ensure communications are effectively translated into actionable messages across channels.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance Botto & the DAO’s visibility.

- Facilitate information flow between stakeholders, ensuring that the team, DAO, and broader community are informed and engaged with Botto’s developments.
- Measure and report the impact of communication strategies to guide continuous improvement.
- This role can start part-time to enhance our overall marketing operations and strategy, facilitating timely and high-quality execution.
- Opportunity to expand this role into broader community management, including community growth campaigns, contributor engagement, and governance communication.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Marketing/Communications experience preferred.
- Ability to contribute directly to production and creative marketing strategy with a strong understanding of the crypto art space and language.
- Proven experience in communications, marketing, or related fields.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of marketing strategies and brand management.
- Experience engaging communities across various platforms.
- Experience with data-driven decision-making and reporting.
- Willingness to work on an East Coast schedule, with some flexibility given the team’s location in Europe.
