About the Role

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in architecting, developing, and maintaining our payments API platform and cryptocurrency solutions. Collaborating closely with our product management and customer-facing teams, you will address complex customer challenges with innovative solutions. You will have the autonomy to design and implement scalable solutions, working across diverse technologies and problem domains. Joining an experienced team with backgrounds in both startups and established companies, you will drive growth and innovation in our decentralized finance and payments products.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain Stronghold’s Platform APIs, solving payment challenges for enterprise customers and underserved businesses using .NET, Go, Rust, Node.js, and Python.
• Participate in all stages of the Platform project development lifecycle, from conception to final implementation.
• Support new Platform features with corresponding APIs for external developers.
• Address and resolve technical issues from Stronghold’s Platform API customer base.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on code review, design, and best practices.
• Work on a variety of initiatives spanning customer segments, problem types, and timeframes.

What We’re Looking for

• 6+ years of software development experience within a team environment.
• Proficiency in .NET and Go; familiarity with Node.js, Rust, or Python is advantageous.
• Experience building and maintaining APIs for external developers.
• Knowledge of existing frameworks and open-source tools, with a willingness to create new frameworks when necessary.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Functions, Cloudflare, Terraform, Redis, Postgres, Git, GitLab/GitHub.
• Nice-to-have: exposure to blockchain/distributed ledger technologies such as Ethereum, Ripple, Stellar, or Solana.
• Enthusiasm for working in a small, growing team with substantial autonomy.
• Excellent communication skills for technical discussions, particularly during design and code review.
• Strong aptitude for learning quickly and prioritizing simplicity.
• Open-minded, empathetic, and committed to collaborative idea-sharing.
