The Department: Neo Banking
The Role: Director / Head of Engineering
We seek an experienced Head of Engineering to oversee and scale a rapidly expanding and diverse development team. This role involves leading a talented group of developers and engineers, implementing processes and tools to maximize developer efficiency, and collaborating with product and program managers to deliver innovative products that captivate customers.
To excel in this position, you should possess a robust engineering background, prior leadership experience, and demonstrate strategic problem-solving abilities. Additionally, exceptional communication skills and proficiency across multiple technical disciplines are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Develop and maintain an engineering roadmap and co-develop the technical strategy to drive technical innovation and business growth.
- Program Management and Engineering Execution: Ensure the realization of the product vision through exceptional execution, consistent user experience, and alignment with design requirements.
- Recruiting and Team-Building: Lead the expansion of Gemini’s engineering teams by implementing efficient recruiting strategies to attract top engineering talent.
- Engineering Processes and Practices: Develop and maintain development methodologies to enable rapid iteration and consistent quality.
- Technology Management: Oversee, manage, and mentor senior-level engineering directors and staff, and collaborate with CTO and other technology leaders to enhance Gemini’s technology roadmap.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of consumer application software engineering experience, including experience in rapidly scaling engineering teams.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in software design, development, testing, and deployment; ability to write functional and maintainable code.
- Leadership: A recognized thought leader capable of representing Gemini at technical forums and conferences.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify problems or opportunities, take ownership, and act independently.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas effectively to diverse audiences.

Salary Range: Base salary range between $269,000 – $336,000 in New York, California, and Washington, exclusive of bonus or equity package.
