Our mission at Gauntlet is to drive adoption and understanding in the financial systems of the future. We recognize the unique challenges posed by building with decentralized systems, which require expertise in mechanism design, smart contract development, and end-user experience specific to financial products.
To expand our impact in the DeFi space, we’re seeking experienced Data Scientists to assist both new and established protocols in understanding their systems better. This role involves conducting in-depth research into making DeFi protocols safer and more efficient through mechanism design, data analysis, and dynamic parameter optimization. You will also be responsible for managing client engagements, drafting research for public consumption, and creating visually compelling dashboards for internal and external use.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research to enhance premier DeFi protocols through mechanism design, data analysis, and dynamic parameter optimization.
- Manage client engagements, including scoping work, maintaining client relationships, and delivering value through research and analysis.
- Draft engaging research for public consumption and fulfill client requirements.
- Develop and deploy user-friendly dashboards for internal and external use.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional experience.
- Strong communication and client management skills.
- Proven ability to draw deep insights from complex datasets.
- Experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R).
- Ability to work independently toward abstract goals.
- Experience with pricing models, financial products, and/or different asset classes.

- Experience in the crypto industry.

- Published or presented research in the space.
