What We are Doing:

Our mission is to construct derivative infrastructure that empowers Ethereum to evolve into the Internet Bond through delta-neutral derivatives positions, ultimately creating the first crypto-native, yield-bearing synthetic dollar: sUSDe.

We firmly believe that solving the challenge of creating a synthetic dollar independent of existing banking infrastructure is the most crucial issue and significant opportunity in the crypto sphere today.

USDe will serve as the initial component of a comprehensive ecosystem of products, including fixed and floating rate internet bonds and composable repo leveraged markets.

The Team:

Ethena currently comprises 15 team members. In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and be an integral part of the Operations team, collaborating closely with the General Counsel and a People & Talent specialist. While primarily engaging with these three individuals, you’ll also interact with all members of the Ethena team. Everyone on the team is highly experienced, collaborative, and excited to work together in building the operational side of the most anticipated DeFi project this year.

The ideal candidate would be in one of the following time zones: EST, GMT, CET.

Who We are Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting Operations professional with a background in Digital Asset-oriented organizations, such as protocols, trading firms, or exchanges. The ideal individual is enthusiastic about joining an early-stage team and defining how commercial and operational finance functions operate. As a facilitator, you enjoy the challenge of solving unique issues that arise in organizations with a groundbreaking offering.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of our Financial Operations function and advise on managing the commercial finance function.
• Audit, define, and enhance current processes, procedures, and tools.
• Proactively identify areas for building and improving financial ops processes.
• Collaborate with the executive team to manage budgets, financial risks, and ensure the protection of company assets.
• Work with external advisors on tax, legal, and compliance to assist in tax planning, filing, and compliance across geographical entities.
• Manage payroll, including both token and fiat payments, both domestically and internationally.
• Execute bank and token transactions for vendor, partner, and other payments.
• Respond to financial data requests from investors and other partners.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a digital asset environment.
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
• Comfortable executing crypto transactions through multisig and third-party platforms like Coinbase, Copper, etc.
• Can-do attitude with a willingness to approach tasks tenaciously.
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Experience in a similar position.
• Experience with consolidations and multi-currency reporting.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Annual compensation: $130,000 – $160,000.
