About the Role: Wallet Tech Lead
As the Wallet Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and leading our wallet tech team. Actively driving technical thought leadership for Safe{Wallet}, you will contribute significantly to a project utilized by teams and individuals managing digital assets of real value. Your influence will extend to shaping the future of the entire Safe project.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Ensure the technical quality, scalability, and security of Safe{Wallet}.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and leads across product, engineering, design, and QA on Safe{Wallet} strategy and roadmap processes.
- Provide in-depth feedback on strategy, roadmap, and other product topics.
- Drive system architectural decisions and coordinate with Safe{Core} and external partners on technical matters.
- Lead and direct the wallet engineering team through technical challenges and performance goals.
- Own roadmap and product development processes, coordinating with the product team on new epics.
- Propose improvements to existing processes and provide feedback on the “What?” while owning/driving the “How?”
- People management of mobile, web, and backend leads.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong technical background in software engineering with progression to a strategic level (8+ years experience in various programming languages).
- Experience architecting scalable systems and leading an engineering team within a startup or larger organization.
- Ability to build systems at scale using AWS/infrastructure/devops.
- Leadership experience in CI/CD across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with Solidity, EVM, EIPs, blockchain projects, and smart contract concepts (Nice to have).
Our Tech Stack:
- Smart contracts: Written in Solidity.
- Backend services: Written in TypeScript and Python, hosted at AWS, orchestrated via Kubernetes.
- Web app: Modern web tech stack with React.js and Next.js.
- Mobile apps: Currently Kotlin and Swift, potentially ReactNative or similar in the future.
- Extensive test suites: E2E via Cypress, Postman, Unit tests in TypeScript/Jest.
