Senior Scala Engineer Role:
SwissBorg seeks a Senior Scala Engineer to play a pivotal role in the back-end development of the Platform team. This team focuses on delivering a robust foundation of common functionalities and platforms, undertaking mission-critical strategic initiatives, and advising on best practices and effective patterns.
Your Responsibilities as a Scala Engineer:
- Identify backend architecture design and API requirements in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Tackle challenging problems in the realm of finance and distributed systems.
- Write rigorous automated tests, ensuring code quality and documentation.
- Optimize code for performance and support and coach junior team members.
- Own your services, from tech design to deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with the product team to design feature requirements, providing early technical guidance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the overall technical architecture.
Your Profile:
- Solid experience working with Scala.
- Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial thinking, with customer value as a key driver.
- Interest in finance, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain.
- Experience in cryptography or a willingness to learn.
