Responsibilities:

As a Backend Software Engineer, your primary focus will be on creating and maintaining scalable backend services, enhancing the security, and improving the user experience for MetaMask users accessing web3.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

Over 5 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer with a track record of working on production applications.
Proficiency in Node.js backend development, with a preference for experience in Typescript.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
Experience working on agile projects in an Agile environment.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
Ability to thrive in a distributed, remote team environment.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Located in the Americas or able to work U.S. business hours.

Bonus Points for:

Experience in a Team Lead or Tech Lead role.
Proficiency in Typescript and/or the NestJS framework.
Experience with microservices architectures.
Understanding of blockchain technology, particularly Ethereum.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Strong teamwork, flexibility, initiative, communication, and organizational skills.
Eagerness to continuously learn and improve, keeping yourself at the forefront of your field.

The salary range for US-based candidates will be determined during the interview process, depending on experience and skills, with a US pay range (excluding bonus, equity, or other benefits) of $100,000 to $209,000 USD.
