A Glimpse into Your Role as a DevSecOps Engineer
You will take the reins in designing and maintaining various platforms that primarily focus on application security, serving the needs of internal customers. Our platforms include VM-based solutions and container workloads, all defined as code. DevSecOps engineers play a crucial role in enhancing automation, GitOps, and IaC within the organization. Additionally, they work to implement various technical solutions and refine the CI processes, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the security posture of the organization.
As a DevSecOps engineer, you’ll oversee the complete lifecycle of dedicated platforms, encompassing tasks such as provisioning code, conducting regular upgrades, implementing automation and new features, configuring integrations, establishing telemetry, ensuring high availability, onboarding users, and delivering the highest level of service quality. Furthermore, you will frequently engage in company-wide initiatives as a security expert to ensure the comprehensive addressing of CI/CD and application security at the highest level.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and constructing security solutions in multiple cloud environments.
- Writing code to enhance automation, SDLC, and the overall security posture of the company.
- Participating in resolving security incidents and detecting vulnerabilities.
- Contributing to cross-company security initiatives.
- Working with cutting-edge platform engineering technologies and exploring opportunities for introducing your own ideas and innovations.
Skills & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should bring an extensive hands-on background in platform engineering and DevSecOps within a cloud environment. Your experience should cover key areas, including:
- AWS Cloud, encompassing services like EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, networking, and IAM.
- Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong expertise in defining Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automating tasks, with a preference for Python or Golang.
- Proven experience in GitOps deployments for both VM-based and containerized workloads.
- Familiarity with various application security tools, including SAST, DAST, Secrets Detection, and Container Security.
- Expert knowledge of GitLab CI and git.
- A focus on platform testing, the development of test cases, and test automation.
- A structured approach to troubleshooting various layers of the platform stack (L3-L7).
- Experience in creating or configuring telemetry in cloud environments, encompassing logging, monitoring, and alarming.
- A deep understanding of IT concepts, including highly available infrastructure, load balancing, DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalling, public key infrastructure, TLS, encryption, the software development lifecycle, code versioning, and more.
- The ability to work independently, assume ownership of assigned tasks, and demonstrate strong communication skills with a user-centric mindset.
- Exceptional self-organization skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage your personal backlog, and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, growing company.
Salary Range and Location
The target annual salary range for this role falls between $132,000 and $203,000. However, please note that this range does not encompass additional compensation elements like our Bonus program, Equity program, Wellness allowance, and other benefits (for US Only), which includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). The actual compensation package for the selected candidate is influenced by various factors, such as skillset, experience, and job scope.
