The Manager of Services FP&A will serve as a strategic partner to our Sales & Services division and will lead the development and ongoing support of planning and reporting requirements. Additionally, you will provide valuable financial insights for guiding strategic decisions within the department. Your responsibilities will encompass budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the Services business, making you an essential collaborator in driving business outcomes.
In this capacity, you will closely collaborate with the finance, sales, and operations teams, necessitating strong partnership and communication skills. The ideal candidate should possess a drive for process enhancements and efficiencies, robust analytical capabilities, and exceptional attention to detail. This position is ideally suited for individuals passionate about gaining an in-depth understanding of our business and go-to-market (GTM) strategy. It’s an opportunity to utilize your insights to continually enhance our Sales & Services processes and take ownership of ad hoc analysis for special projects spanning the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing yourself as a strategic business partner for the Sales & Services division, offering crucial reports and actionable insights grounded in financial and data analysis.
- Efficiently overseeing the annual planning and continuous forecasting procedures for the Services team.
- Assisting in the formulation of budgets and forecasts for various aspects, including bookings, key performance indicators (KPIs), and divisional expenses.
- Providing regular reports on performance, highlighting top-line KPIs, and effectively illustrating variances from budget and forecasted figures.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of revenue and expense planning strategies for the Services department. This includes a deep understanding of headcount and utilization planning, as well as unit economics.
- Collaborating closely with the Revenue Ops team to closely monitor and track Services bookings and margins.
- Taking the initiative to identify opportunities for change, process improvements, and system enhancements.
- Crafting presentations for senior company leadership and the board to communicate insights and findings.
Qualifications:
- A well-established background in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), particularly within a Services organization.
- Previous experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) company, demonstrating a profound understanding of SaaS metrics.
- Proficiency in modeling, with the ability to seamlessly transition between platforms like Excel and Google Sheets.
- A track record of successfully automating manual processes, improving operational efficiency.
- Exceptional reporting skills encompassing both data collection and the capacity to derive insights for enhancing company performance.
- Strong commitment to detail and precision.
- Preferred proficiency in systems such as Salesforce, Adaptive, and/or NetSuite.
- A bonus if you have prior experience in Sales Compensation planning.

This job listing encompasses multiple job levels, and to ensure transparency for candidates, we provide the base salary ranges for all positions based in the United States. Our standard base salary ranges are determined by the role’s function, level, and location, and are benchmarked against technology companies. Specific salary determinations consider various factors, including qualifications, relevant work experience, skill set, internal equity, and other relevant elements, in compliance with applicable laws.
The salary range for this role depends on your location within the United States. Chainalysis maintains two pay zones: Zone 1 covers team members in the New York City metro area and the San Francisco Bay Area, while Zone 2 encompasses all other parts of the United States. The salary ranges are as follows:
Zone 1: $125,000 – $160,000 – $195,000
Zone 2: $108,000 – $140,000 – $172,000
Base salary is just one component of our comprehensive rewards package, which also includes equity, performance bonuses or commissions for eligible positions, and competitive benefits. Please note that this position does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
