Immutable, the Web3 gaming platform, recently unveiled an exciting partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This collaboration is poised to completely transform the blockchain gaming landscape, ushering in a new realm of opportunities for developers operating in the cryptocurrency domain.
Immutable Joins AWS’s ISV Accelerate Program
In their X (formerly Twitter) statement released on October 10, Immutable disclosed its membership in AWS’s ISV Accelerate Program, a sales initiative tailored for companies incorporating AWS services into their products. This development signifies the seamless integration of Immutable’s blockchain gaming technology, especially Immutable X, which is fully compatible with Ethereum, into AWS’s Activate program.
Jason Suen, Immutable’s Chief Commercial Officer, conveyed his enthusiasm for this partnership, emphasizing, “Through our participation in AWS ISV Accelerate and AWS Activate programs, we can offer our extensive network of game developers an efficient solution to rapidly create and expand Web3 games.”
John Kearney, Head of Startups at AWS, underscored the significance of the gaming sector within the blockchain industry. He pointed out that numerous studios are actively exploring the integration of crypto technology into their games and expressed great anticipation for the future in this dynamic field. AWS has also demonstrated its commitment to advancing blockchain gaming through its active engagement with the Blockchain Game Alliance.
AWS, renowned for its cloud computing platforms and data storage services, provides an array of services tailored to the gaming industry. These offerings encompass cloud gaming services, game servers, game security services, game analytics, video game artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

AWS’s Role in Empowering Immutable’s Growth
Immutable’s collaboration with AWS will significantly expand the pipeline of game studio opportunities and offer essential support for closing deals.
This partnership has the potential to streamline the growth and expansion of blockchain games by granting access to AWS resources, which will bolster security for prospective clients and ultimately expedite agreements with leading game studios worldwide.
Immutable’s platform is constructed on Amazon EventBridge and AWS Lambda, harnessing serverless services that utilize events to connect various application components. This architecture empowers the platform to scale efficiently, ensuring the seamless management of a tenfold increase in partnered games.
In addition to their collaboration with AWS, developers looking to build on Immutable’s blockchain can also benefit from AWS Activate, a program that extends valuable perks such as technical support, training, and a substantial $100,000 in AWS cloud credits.
Meanwhile, Immutable has been making notable progress with its zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM), which underwent public testing in partnership with Polygon Labs in August. The zkEVM offers the potential to reduce development costs for game developers while delivering the security and network effects associated with the Ethereum ecosystem.
Immutable has also achieved significant recognition and valuation, reaching $2.5 billion in March 2022, following an impressive $200 million Series C funding round, which was primarily led by the Singaporean state-owned investment firm Temasek.
