We are in search of an experienced Product Design Lead with a profound passion for NFTs and NFT marketplaces to take charge of the design team at Magic Eden. As the lead, you will assemble and manage a team of top-tier product designers who share your enthusiasm for the NFT realm. You will play a strategic role in shaping our product vision, overseeing high-quality design work, and crafting a world-class user experience for our platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team of product designers across Magic Eden, encompassing existing product lines, creator products, and emerging verticals.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business leaders to formulate product strategy and create designs that align with business objectives, encompass the appropriate scope, and are technically feasible to implement.
- Develop comprehensive user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes for specific product areas. Additionally, coordinate efforts across the design team to ensure consistency and maintain high quality.
- Establish and maintain a design system that promotes consistency and supports rapid product expansion.
- Collaborate with UX Research to gain insights into the target audience, user needs, usability, and transform these insights into actionable product improvements.
- Work alongside Engineering to ensure accurate design implementation and manage revisions.
Experience/Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a UI or UX designer, with a background in building and designing consumer-facing products, including at least 2 years of team management.
- Significant interest in digital collectibles and NFT marketplaces, with a deep understanding of crypto-native product concepts.
- Strong systemic thinking and experience in scaling a rapidly growing product.
- Proven experience in leading a design team, shaping its culture, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to deliver successful products.
- A track record of independent operation, creative thinking, attention to detail, and a systematic approach to delivering results.
- Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with web and mobile design standards.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. The base salary range for this role is $215,000 – $250,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Magic Eden’s equity plan. The final offer amount will be determined at the company’s sole discretion, taking multiple factors into account, such as years of experience, expertise, location, and other business considerations.
