Proof of Work: The Team Join our newly formed Incubation team and become a contributor to the ongoing transformation of the digital assets industry at Kraken. Our team plays a pivotal role in identifying industry challenges and delivering innovative solutions.
As a member of the Incubation team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with highly skilled Rust Engineers, cryptographers, and on-chain experts from around the globe. Our enthusiasm extends to open source initiatives, Layer 2 technologies, zero-knowledge proofs, multi-party computation, and our continuous exploration of on-chain scaling solutions. Our collaborative work environment enables us to stay at the forefront of the ever-evolving crypto landscape.
Recently, our team embarked on the exploration of integrating more protocols and decentralized applications into Kraken. By joining us, you will have the chance to actively shape the future of on-chain technology at Kraken. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the world.
The Opportunity:
- Crafting and deploying cryptographic protocols.
- Designing and executing layer 2 solutions.
- Developing code that is both reusable and efficient, while being readily testable.
- Implementing smart contracts.
- The autonomy to engage in independent research endeavors.
- Participating in conferences and identifying prospects within the on-chain ecosystem.
Skills to Embrace:
- A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in working with modern cryptography, including but not limited to Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP), Multi-Party Computation (MPC), and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE).
- A deep comprehension of applied cryptography.
- Prior experience in technical writing and documentation.
- Familiarity with Bitcoin and Ethereum ecosystems.
- Competence in assembly and other low-level programming languages.
- The ability to autonomously troubleshoot issues related to networks and operating systems.
- Leadership skills in shaping technical requirements and driving projects to completion.
- A willingness to assume technical responsibility for intricate systems, along with the capacity to recognize opportunities for innovative research and development.
- Serving as a technical leader and guiding colleagues within the company in bringing their ideas to proof of concepts and beyond.
- Experience with system languages like C, C++, Go, and/or strongly typed programming languages such as OCaml, Haskell, and Rust.
- A profound passion for creating secure, reliable, and high-performance software.
